My kid is really struggling. Have you actually helped kids like mine?
Yes! Many of the students we support come in overwhelmed, shut down, or convinced nothing will work. And that’s exactly where we begin. Whether your child avoids work until the last minute, forgets everything, or resists help, we tailor support that meets them where they are (without judgment) and build trust from there. Progress may not be instant, but we’ve helped students just like yours find their footing and become more confident and self-reliant.
Can you really teach a kid to care about being more organized?
Yes, and we do it without forcing it. Our approach isn’t about color-coded binders or rigid rules. It’s about helping students connect the dots: “When I know where things are and plan ahead, life feels less stressful.”
Once students feel seen, supported, and in control, they often begin to want more organization because it makes things easier for them (not just for the adults around them).
What happens during the session? And what do async services include?
During the 60-minute trial, we’ll talk through what’s been tough, help your child work through something real (like an upcoming test or project), and begin to identify where executive function challenges show up. It’s practical, relational, and low-pressure.
If you choose to continue, our asynchronous services include things like follow-up emails with strategies, teacher or parent communication, assignment tracking, and text check-ins. These are quiet support in-between sessions that keeps your child on track without you having to carry it all.
How are you different from a school counselor or tutor?
Great question. Counselors offer essential emotional support, and traditional tutors help with subject content. We sit in the middle. Our work focuses on how your child learns like building skills in planning, task initiation, and emotional regulation.
We also personalize our approach based on your child’s brain and needs. Plus, we loop in you and the school when needed, so your child has a full-circle support system, not just one person checking in once a month.
Is virtual really effective for this kind of support?
Yes, and for many students, it’s even better. Virtual tutoring reduces distractions and gives students more control over the space.
Our Executive Function (EF) Tutors are trained to read tone, energy, and EF patterns, even through a screen. And since most school platforms and assignments are already online, we can integrate real tools and schoolwork right into the session.
