By day, I work in biotech advancing enzymatic plastic degradation. At EF Tutors, I lead Finance and Strategy to ensure our programs grow sustainably and our tutors have the resources to make lasting impact.
Here’s how I help support our mission through finance, strategy, and collaboration:
I oversee EF Tutors’ financial health, ensuring we can continue growing while maintaining high-quality support for every family. From budgeting to Profit First allocations, I help create systems that align with our mission and values.
Our tutors are the heart of EF Tutors. I work closely with leadership to design pay structures that are fair, transparent, and sustainable, so our team feels valued while we continue providing personalized care to families.
I collaborate with our marketing and Family Success teams to plan for long-term growth. Together, we explore ways to serve more families without sacrificing the individualized support that makes EF Tutors special.
To grow sustainably while ensuring that every student and family continues to receive the same level of care, quality, and attention that defines EF Tutors.
Our mission to help students overcome executive function challenges resonates deeply with me. I’ve seen how gaining independence in school creates a ripple effect of reducing stress at home and restoring confidence in families.
What I love most about our team is the shared commitment to growth, not just for students, but for ourselves. We create space for each team member to contribute meaningfully to our mission while developing their own skills and careers.
It’s moments like these that remind me why I’m proud to be part of this work:
That shared sense of purpose and continuous improvement is what makes being part of EF Tutors so meaningful to me.
Outside of work, I stay active and curious, two things that have always shaped who I am. I was born and raised in Cambodia. When I moved to Boston to study at MIT, that’s where my love for understanding how things work grew into a lifelong passion for science and systems thinking.
My Hobbies:
You’ll often find me on the basketball court, at the gym, or exploring new cities. When I’m home, I love making matcha, experimenting with budget-friendly recipes, and finding creative ways to optimize credit card points for travel.
Fun Fact About Me:
I can make five different dishes using one Costco rotisserie chicken — proof that good systems (and good food) can go a long way!
