As a middle school language arts teacher, I often found that students’ biggest hurdles weren’t just about the subject matter; but rather they were about organization, motivation, and follow-through. My goal is to help your child build the systems behind the work, and create a process that feels manageable and empowering so they can succeed, one small step at a time.

I believe that real progress begins when a student knows you genuinely care about them as a person. My approach is about building that connection first, then co-creating personalized systems that can turn overwhelm into confidence.
These four principles are the foundation of my approach:
Before we even start fixing any issues or tackle challenges, I get to know your child on a deeper level: their interests, personality, and strengths. When students feel seen and supported, they are ready to learn.
A big project can feel paralyzing. We work together to break every assignment down into small, manageable steps, showing students that even the most intimidating tasks are achievable.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution. We find the tools and strategies that work best for your child’s unique brain to ensure the systems we build are ones they will actually use.
I prioritize partnering closely with parents by keeping you informed and engaged throughout. Whether it’s a quick email or a phone call to talk things through, I adjust my communication to meet your family’s needs.

When a student is bright but totally unmotivated, forcing them to work rarely helps. My goal is to find what clicks and build from there. Here’s my approach:
I had a student who was stuck on an essay because he simply wasn’t interested in the topic. So instead of just forcing it through, we worked together to adapt the assignment to better match his interests.
Once the topic felt relevant to him, his motivation shifted. It’s a powerful reminder that having a clear purpose is a key ingredient for follow-through.
With his buy-in, we created smaller, personalized goals so he could catch up without feeling defeated. The result was a completed essay and a student who understood his own motivational triggers.
My goal is to help students feel understood, motivated, and capable by turning big, overwhelming tasks into small, doable steps that build real momentum. By partnering with parents, I want students to develop systems that stick, so they communicate more, start on their own, and grow confident beyond just grades.
Success is about building a strong partnership that leads to real independence. It’s not just about the final grade.
Progress is when:
My goal is to ensure that families feel less stress, and students feel more capable to achieve what they set out to do.
When I’m not coaching, you can find me enjoying the small things in life, such as spending quality time with my loved ones.
My Hobbies:
I love exploring my town’s shops and restaurants, spending time with my dog and cat, cooking, dancing and discovering new books to read.
Fun Fact About Me:
I’m a lifelong basketball fan (both my dad and brother used to coach!). So now I still really enjoy watching women’s basketball!
Choosing the right support for your child is a big decision.
