I made the leap from a career in tech to coaching because I realized I prefer making a real impact in people’s lives. If you’ve ever wished your child had someone in their corner who truly “gets them,” you’re in the right place. My goal is to help every student feel understood and give them the confidence to succeed as their authentic self.

I believe most kids who are struggling in school aren’t lazy, they just haven’t found the right support. My approach is focused on externalizing the chaos, finding what truly fits, and celebrating every student for who they are.
These four principles are the foundation of my approach:
When tasks are untracked, they create mental clutter and anxiety. The first step is helping your child get it out of their heads and onto paper (or a whiteboard), freeing their mind to focus on one task at a time.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution, and I'm the first to admit that most tools don't work for me, either. I’ll work with your child to test different systems and find the one that works for their unique brain.
Real progress happens when a student wants to grow for their own reasons, not just because a parent says so. My first goal is always to get buy-in and help them find their own motivation to succeed.
School often expects your child to be a certain way, even when they’re not. In our sessions, your child has a safe space to just be themselves and thrive in their own unique way.

Transformations from students and families like yours:
"Did a free trial session for my daughter. They did not have any specific academic subject to discuss, but talked about good study habits. Was beneficial to my daughter."

Dad of a College Student
"We’re so grateful to have found Joe. This is the first time in a long while that our daughter has really clicked with someone, and it’s made a huge difference. She felt seen and supported from the start, and now she’s actually open to coaching and finding a path forward. We’re hopeful this is the beginning of real growth in her motivation, structure, and follow-through. Thank you, Joe, for creating that kind of connection so early on!"
Lily
Mom of a College Student
"Joe’s approach really resonated with my son. After their first session, he felt inspired with new ideas (we haven’t seen this in a while). I appreciate that Joe isn’t just focused on giving advice, but on helping him try, reflect, and adjust in a way that actually sticks. As a parent, I’m most interested in execution and follow-through, and it’s clear that Joe offers the kind of steady, nonjudgmental support that my son needs outside of school and family."

Mom of a High Schooler
When a student has cycled through multiple professionals and is resistant to support, I don’t push. I listen. Here’s my approach to turn it into a breakthrough:
I had a student stuck in a loop of TikTok scrolling and stress. Instead of calling it procrastination, I just asked what was going on. Listening first is key.
Together, we designed an app-blocker routine that the student chose and actually loved. When a student has ownership of the solution, they are far more likely to use it.
The goal is always to meet students where they’re at, ask what they care about, and help them get there on their own terms. This builds buy-in and restores a student's sense of control.
The outcome of my work isn’t just stronger systems: it’s a student who feels genuinely seen and capable. The real win is when they no longer need weekly support because they’ve built the tools and confidence to manage things on their own.
For me, success happens in two phases, primarily focused on building sustainable independence. The journey looks like this:
Whether it’s shifting to less frequent sessions or wrapping up completely, I see success when students take full ownership of their progress.
When I’m not coaching, you can find me diving into my passions and connecting with people. I definitely thrive on human connection and new challenges.
My Hobbies:
I’m a lifelong gamer, a board game enthusiast, a rock climber, and a drummer!
Fun Fact About Me:
I spent a lot of my life trying to fit into spaces that didn’t feel right. So now, I gravitate toward the kids on the edges. The weirdos. The ones who haven’t quite found their people yet, because they’re my kind of people.
Choosing the right support for your child is a big decision.
