With my background in STEM subjects and Spanish, alongside my experience in executive function tutoring, I adopt a patient and steady approach to ensure students feel understood and empowered. As an immigrant from Mexico who has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years, I also bring both academic knowledge and personal perspective into the sessions that allows me to connect with students, and help them build skills that last.

I believe that real growth happens when a student feels seen and supported.
My approach is rooted in patience, celebrating small wins, and the belief that we are all learners on a journey together.
These four principles are the foundation of my approach:
I truly believe that patience goes a long way and I show that in every lesson. I understand that building new habits takes time, and I provide the steady guidance students need to move forward without pressure.
Every student’s needs are different. Some may need structure from the ground up, while others just need a little push. I adapt my approach to help each student build momentum in a way that feels manageable.
Instead of expecting perfection, I focus on encouraging small, consistent steps. We celebrate every milestone so your child sees that small wins add up to larger changes over time.
I often share my own challenges with my students which create a powerful partnership where we can experiment with new strategies and learn from each other without the fear of failure.

Transformations from students and families like yours:
"Working with Charly has made such a big difference in my learning. My homework has been getting easier every week because I’m understanding more and feeling more confident. He’s always supportive and proud of my progress, which keeps me motivated."
Alex
High School Student
"I would rate EF Coaches and Tutors quite highly. As it was a significant change in my class from semester 1 to semester 2. In my second semester I felt more confident in my math skills as I felt super weak in the first semester, and that’s because of EF tutoring and I’m greatly appreciative towards everyone that works there and for those who helped me."
Kamila
Mom of a High Schooler
"Working with Charly has been a wonderful experience for our family. He really took the time to understand my son, connect with him, and support him in a way that felt personalized and authentic. Charly is great, and we are grateful for the positive impact he has made."

When a student feels stuck in a cycle of disorganization or procrastination, I don’t expect perfection. We start small and build from there. Here’s my approach:
I remind students that I'm a lifelong learner, too. By showing them that even adults have challenges, we create a safe space to tackle their own without judgment.
For students who have never had an organizational system, we start with the foundations. We experiment with different tools and routines until we find something that clicks.
No matter the starting point, the goal is to build momentum and stay on track. That way, students will build confidence to face challenges, while believing that growth is always possible.
It’s all about guiding students to recognize that progress is built through consistent small steps rather than perfection. I aim to provide every student with the confidence, patience, and practical systems they need to take ownership of their learning and succeed beyond the classroom.
For me, success isn’t just about a final grade; it’s about building consistency and confidence.
Progress is when a student is able to:
My goal is to help students and families see that every step forward is a milestone worth celebrating.
When I’m not coaching, you can find me staying active and diving into my hobbies.
My Hobbies:
I love playing soccer, basketball, and football. I’m also an avid cook, a skill I learned from my mom. I also enjoy hiking the trails and beaches here in Florida.
Fun Fact About Me:
I’m a big Marvel fan and I’m always ready to dive into a superhero movie in my downtime.
